This old family crypt of a forgotten noblehouse was once tended to with great care and respect. One day some of the aged brickwork could no longer support its own weight and collapsed, fracturing the floor. Kobolds then flooded through the newly opened holes, claiming the old crypt as their new home.

Since then noone dared to enter the crypt. The kobolds are fond of their new home and ready to defend it. Their leader robbed every single gold coin and other objects of value from this place, collecting them all in their room.

Adventurers might be tasked to drive out the kobolds or convince them to leave. Maybe someone was captured by the kobolds and needs to be rescued. Upon encountering them the koblolds could task the adventurers with destroying a restless ghost, that is haunting their tribe since arrival.

1
Entrance Hall. Visitors access the crypt through the western stairs. A bridge leads across the room, 20 feet above ground. The eastern door was sealed with a powerful spell. Stairs lead below to the remaining doors to the north and south.
2
Embalming Room. This room was once used to prepare the dead for internment. Decay caused dengerous brown mold to grow in parts of this room. The door to the east was blocked off by falling rubble.
3
Defended Hallway. Kobolds set up defenses in this part of the crypt. Sandbags and palisades block the way. Thousands of caltrops litter the path. Kobolds equiped with bows guard this way against intruders.
4
Kobold Camp. This room was once used for rituals and worship. Now dozens of kobolds nest here. Most of the inhabitants are non-combatans, running or cowering at any sign of danger. Stone balconies overlook the camp 20 feet above.
5
Kobold Leader’s Room. The leader of the kobolds claimed this room as their own. Previously the crypt’s caretaker would live here. It’s new resident collected anything valuable and stored it here.
6
Improvised Kitchen. This chamber was turned into a place to prepare meals for the growing kobold population. Food is hunted in the tunnels below. If times are deperate even prisoners or the dead are used for food.
7
Improvised Prison Cell. The kobolds use this chamber to imprison intruders or criminal members of their tribe. Prisoners are kept in complete darkness with only straw to cushion the cold stone.
8
Damaged Graves. The dead have become restless after their graves were damaged and robbed. Sometimes ghosts can be seen wandering this hallway.
9
Collapsed Hallway. This part of the crypt was destroyed during an earthquake. Holes opened up to the world below and caused the kobolds to pour in. This hallway is in constant danger of further collapse and traversing it is extremely dangerous.
